Terms of Service

go4wood.com (the “Service”) is operated by Go4Wood LLC (“Go4Wood”, “we”, “us”). Our mailing address is 1925 Rock Hill Rd, Eastover, North Carolina 28312, United States. You can reach us at [email protected].

You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account. You are responsible for your login credentials and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Provide accurate registration information and keep it current. One person, one account — accounts may not be shared, sold, or transferred.

Some features require a paid membership. Paid plans renew automatically at the interval you selected (monthly or annual) at the price shown at checkout, until you cancel. We process payments through Stripe; we do not store your full card details.

You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep full access until then. Refund terms are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

We may change prices. If a change affects your plan, we will give you notice before it applies to a renewal, and you may cancel before that renewal if you do not accept it.

You keep ownership of everything you post — project photos, build journals, forum posts, marketplace listings, comments, and files. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies retained in backups or where other members have already incorporated it (for example, a quoted reply).

You are responsible for what you post. Only post content you have the right to post, and do not post anything unlawful, infringing, misleading, hateful, harassing, or sexually explicit.

Build plans, laser files, and CNC files purchased or unlocked through the Service are licensed to you for personal and small-scale commercial use — you may build the item and sell what you build. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publicly share the files themselves, and you may not use them to create a competing library of plans or files.

Access to files included with a membership tier lasts as long as that membership is active. Individually purchased files remain available to you.

The marketplace lets members list items for sale or trade. Go4Wood is not a party to those transactions. We do not verify listings, hold funds, ship goods, or guarantee that any item is as described. Transactions, payment, and delivery are arranged directly between members, at their own risk.

Do not list anything you may not lawfully sell. We may remove any listing and suspend any account at our discretion.

Be civil. Do not spam, scrape, impersonate others, evade bans, post others’ personal information, or attempt to disrupt the Service or access accounts or data that are not yours.

We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms, and we may do so without notice where the breach is serious or ongoing. You may report content to us through the reporting tools or by contacting support.

Woodworking is dangerous. Plans, guides, calculators, videos, species data, and any other content on the Service are provided for general information only.

They are not a substitute for your own judgement, proper training, correct tooling, or the safety instructions supplied with your machines. Dimensions, cut lists, load figures, finish coverage, cost estimates, and movement calculations may contain errors and must be verified before you cut, glue, load, or finish anything. You are solely responsible for your own safety and for the safety and structural adequacy of what you build.

The Service itself — the software, design, branding, and our original content — belongs to Go4Wood LLC and is protected by copyright and trademark law. These terms give you no right to use our name or logo except as needed to use the Service normally.

We aim to keep the Service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid feature materially, you may cancel and we will not charge you for a further renewal.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Go4Wood LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold Go4Wood LLC harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising out of content you post, your use of the Service, or your breach of these terms.

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law — do survive.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will give notice — by email or a notice on the site — before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
